Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

You have applied for Membership in the Eastern Africa Association and are filling in our ‘Join Us’ form or other means of contacting us from our website;
You are joining our LinkedIn Membership group;
You are interested in joining the EAA and provide your contact details so we can forward you information on the Association.

We use the information that you have given us in order to contact you for the purposes of:

formalising your membership in the Association, including so we can provide you with contractual documents;
providing you with information in the case that you are interested in joining the EAA;
informing you of events organised by the EAA and our partners;
providing you with any of the services that form part of your membership, including regular newsletters;

As members, you may also consent to us displaying your information to other members of the EAA (not to the public) through our website, in a section accessible to other members of the Association only.

We keep your contact details and other relevant information, needed for the purposes of providing the EAA’s services, for the duration of your membership. We will then dispose your information by deleted your information from our systems.

Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
