EAA’s Executive Baraza – June 2024 Africa markets Briefing Dinner with AFBD’s President Dr. Akinwumi Adesina.

London – 7th June 2024.
At the Eastern Africa Association (EAA), we believe that businesses that want to prosper on the African continent must be deliberate about cultivating meaningful partnerships with local communities, the private sector, and regulators. This approach was central to our recent gathering , ‘The African Baraza,’ when we had the privilege of welcoming Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, President of African Development Bank Group

This intimate baraza, held under the symbolic ‘Acacia tree’ (The Raffles), combined knowledge, tradition, and forward-thinking discourse.

Dr. Adesina encouraged us with his vision, stressing Africa’s limitless prospects and assuring firms of the Bank’s assistance in making investment decisions. He stated, “Partner with us to contribute to Africa’s properity’ The African Development Bank will serve as your swimming instructor, assisting you in making sound investment decisions, notably in climate, Africa’s youth, SMEs, and women.”

Dr. Adesina urged corporations to show faith in Africa, saying, “The future belongs to those who invest in the development of Africa’s youth and women.”

As global organisations negotiate geopolitical risks, the climate crisis, and the rapid advancement of technology and artificial intelligence, the EAA remains committed to providing exceptional insights and connections in East Africa. Our extensive network, thought leadership, and strategic collaborations with key African institutions, such as the African Development Bank, are here to guide and support firms at every stage of the process.
